Summit Racing Equipment - Insuffiencent Tech Support
Purchased Comp Cam and Lifter Kit, and Valve Springs for same per Tech. Support advice.
Went through Brake - In sequence and nothing but noise coming from under Valve Covers. Took motor back apart to find 4 collapsed lifters as well as 4 lobes of the cam gone. I called Tech. and was told that it was all my fault, not, "let's see what could have happened".
Upon further investigation, found out through another we site ( Not Summit) that the springs I ordered had to be taken apart prior to brake-In and then re-assembled afterwards. I asked what they could do for me. Their reply was they would give me $25 off of my next order !!!! That was 10% of what I spent.
I asked for $50...answer ABSOLUTLY NOT....thet wouldn't be making money. I have sent Feedback to corporate, guess what...no answer.Mike

I PURCHASED A POWERMASTER STARTER TOP OF THE LINE FOR AUTO THE STARTER WAS NO GOOD RIGHT PART BUT A BAD PART NO GOOD CALL TECH DEPT THEY AGREEDED STARTER NO GOOD HAD MECHANIC TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ASK FOR $50 TO HELP WITH LABOR REPLACING STARTER TWICE GIVEN $25 GIFT CARD AND TOLD TO CALL POWERMASTER THEN I WAS TOLD LATER MY ORDER HADNT BEEN SHIPPED THIS WAS AROUND 2PM THIS IS HAPPENING TO A CUSTOMER THAT ORDERS THREE TIMES A WEEK AND OCASSIONALLY VISIT THE GEORGIA STORE
