Took money and then canceled order, refund in 7 to 10 business days!

Terrible customer service, rude and condescending. Then out of spite, once the debit card info was corrected, and after the order was canceled... they charged for the parts anyway. Calling them to get the money back was even more challenging, then I was told it would be 7-10 business days to have the card refunded. Lets just say, they want your money and do not care one bit about customer service, conflict resolution nor return customers.

April 9, 2019. Purchase a tuner from Summit. $400.00. After the learning curve, tried several times to install the tune. Not happening. Finally contacted HP Tuner and wasted another 3 weeks and got nowhere. They know its the module as they have had many returned. Another wwasted 2 weeks and truck is still down. Summit (Patty) has coward to HP and screw the customer. I have the correspondence. Spent countless amount of money at Summit in my life. What a friggin waste. Screw you Summit. This $400.00 you help waste I guarantee will cost you a lot more!!

103079-RD item looks nothing like description in picture

Product looks nothing like picture description !! 2 flat pieces of metal that your supposed to adhere to existing engine covers !! Does not conform to original shape of covers. Looks like C**p.

Look up your own parts!

For years I have looked up my own parts and gone in to purchase them. During this time I have been happy with the purchases aside from a Summit brand intake manifold which was a complete disaster. That was a manufacturing error. Just 2 weeks ago, however, I let them look up the part because I wasn't 100% sure I was getting the right one. As it turns out, I would have. Sales strictly insisted the one he recommended was the proper fit. They were horribly wrong and ended up costing me over $600 more in labor and transportation for the 2 extra days in the garage. This extra charge has prevented me from being able to also change the gearing in my front differential to 4.88 from 3.73. It also prevents me from using 4 wheel drive and is causing me to cancel plans with my daughter and friends that were set into motion 6 weeks ago. Thank you for the eye opener. I now know, and will tell others, that Summit Racing should only be used if you look up the part yourself and are 100% sure it's what you need. My faith in your store has been greatly diminished.

Miserable service

I ordered one item with my phone only to get an error message saying that the order was not successful because I did not give all required information on the order form. I tried again using my laptop, and after going through the order carefully I clicked on submit order, only to get another error code.

I then got on live chat with Jim, and after a bunch of back and forth, he said both orders went through. I asked him to cancel one, which he said he did. Meanwhile I got one email asking me to complete one of the orders. I did not get a confirmation email that an order was placed for either order.

Jim said I would get an email once the order was shipped. I called my bank and the customer service rep said both orders are pending. I then requested that both orders be cancelled.

I would not recommend this company, nor will I ever waste my time with this company again. I will with Amazon.

Customer tech service gone downhill

I have dealt with Summit for over 30 years, always, until now, gotten good advice and service. Called to order a carbuerator. Got Todd on phone. He explained that carb I wanted had Ford linkage, not Chevrolet. This was not in the catalog. Todd suggested another carb, and I ordered it from him. The email I received had a different part number, actually the carb that I had originslly asked for. I called right back, and a Phoebe checked withtech snd came back and said this carb was correct for my application. When the carb arrived, it didn't look right when I compated the libkage. Called back, got a Cynthia. She checked tech and said that it was compatable, but I need two parts totalling iver a hundred dollars. by that time, I was livid. Had my truck tirn down in the garage, a hail storm coming and my 59 Chevy would be sitting outside. Then a Frankie came on. She immediately got abrasive. By then, I was pissed, and went right back at her. After her dancing around trying to blame me, then saying maybe Todd "fat fingered" the order. Finally she agreed to send me the other carb and a shipping label fir the return, but said if it doesn't fit, don't come bsck and complain. This may be the break. Have never had such incompatance and abrasiveness from Summit. Hope this isn't going to be typical with them in the future.

Bought advertise stainless and built exhaust system then found out it's the kind of stainless that has 90 percent iron in it. So false advertising in this case. Why the *** would I buy stainless if I wanted it to rust and look like *** summit sucks and they are mallinial bunch of *** holes

Unordered tee shirt

I ordered something minor from Summit Racing, and it was delivered. A few weeks later I received a tee shirt I did not order, and they charged my credit card. I immediately returned the package and asked for credit back to my VISA. They ignored me.

Great customer service

I have been in the auto business for over 37 years. We deal with alot of suppliers. Summit provides excellent product and excellent customer service. We recently purchased an Alston Pro Chassis which arrived by UPS truck freight. Two of the rails were damaged and Summit is sending me two new rails at no charge only one day after contacting them. This is the kind of customer service I grew up with but don't easily find now days. Thank you Tonya in customer service for helping me!

Defective wheels

I purchased 4 wheels from Summit Racing Equipment for winter change over.Upon installation of the bolts the wheels started to get deformed. Summit has a policy of not taking back wheels that are mounted but how are we to know this "last" step would cause a problem.

I emailed Summit and I got a reply that we are sorry but we can't take back the rims.

So I wrote back and said how were we to know this was a problem until the last step showed up the defect.

I feel cheated that a big company will not give me my money back?

I also had to buy four new tire pressure sensors at a cost of 235.96.
